Greta Gerwig, renowned for directing “Barbie,” and her long-term partner Noah Baumbach, have officially married, as confirmed by Gerwig’s representative.
The couple, who first crossed paths during the making of the 2010 film “Greenberg,” started their romantic journey in 2011.
The marriage news arrives amidst a bustling year for the duo, who jointly penned the screenplay for “Barbie.”
Earlier, in an interview with Elle UK, Gerwig shared the joy of welcoming their second son, adding to their family that includes their first son, Harold Ralph Gerwig Baumbach, born in March 2019.
In a candid conversation, Gerwig expressed the surreal experience of motherhood, often waking up at intervals just to gaze at her newborn.

Their appearance at the 2020 Academy Awards was a moment of mutual admiration. Baumbach expressed how Gerwig influenced him to become a better person and writer. He admitted that writing alongside her pushed him to excel, aiming to impress her with his work.
In a recent Q&A, Baumbach revealed his initial reluctance to work on “Barbie,” which later transformed into a project he considers their best-written work. He credits Gerwig’s belief in the project as the driving force behind its success.
