Jennifer Garner, the famous actress from movies like “13 Going On 30” and “Yes Day”, recently talked about the strong support she got from her friend and fellow actress, Reese Witherspoon.
Garner, 51, spoke openly about a tough time in her life during a talk at Hello Sunshine’s Inaugural Shine On Event in Los Angeles.
Jennifer Garner remembered her pregnancy and how Witherspoon, 47, was there for her, giving her comfort and friendship.
“I think back to a very public, very hard moment in my life. She was right there and dance cardio helped me get through it.”

She didn’t say exactly what she was referring to, but she talked about how dance cardio helped her.
The two actresses have a close friendship, as seen in their shared love for dance cardio. Jennifer Garner talked about a time they worked out so much that Witherspoon broke her foot, but she didn’t stop.
Garner’s personal life, including her marriage to actor Ben Affleck, has been in the public eye. They got married in 2005, divorced in 2018, and have three children – Violet, 17, Seraphina, 13, and Samuel, 11. Affleck later married Jennifer Lopez in July 2022.
During the talk, Jennifer Garner also praised Witherspoon for her support as a parent. “She’ll also look at you and say, ‘Okay, you need to find a preschool. This kid is two and a half and they need to start next month. You actually have to get on this,’” Garner said.
The Shine On event was put on by Hello Sunshine, a media company Witherspoon started in 2016. The goal was to bring the Hello Sunshine community together. Jennifer Garner thanked Witherspoon for making a place where actresses could talk about their work without feeling held back.
“Those meetings happened at Reese’s house. And it was the first time I’d ever sat down with that many actresses in the same room,” Garner said.
Mindy Kaling, 44, another person on the panel, also had good things to say about Witherspoon, calling her “funny, talented, and a great friend.”
Other famous people at the event included Tracee Ellis Ross and Fortune Feimster. Witherspoon also announced that the November pick for Reese’s Book Club would be “Maybe Next Time” by Cesca Major.
Looking back on the event, Witherspoon called it “a dream come true” in a post on her Instagram Story. She was happy to talk about the importance of connections with Jennifer Garner and Kaling.
